Week of November 13 - 17

Hey Panda Family,

As we inch closer to Thanksgiving break we begin to think about all the things we are thankful for: family, friends, our school, our students, and the list goes on. In life we can easily get hyper-focused on the few things that aren't going well when so many things around us are blessings. During this Thanksgiving season, spend more time and energy thinking about all the things that you are thankful for and that are blessings in your life. Fill your bucket with these positive items. It will make a huge difference! I am so thankful for each one of you and everything you bring to our school family. 💚 Two more days until break 🦃 We got this!

Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:

New Updates

Staff Meeting: Our Staff Meeting for November will be this Monday, November 20 @ 3:30. We changed the date to Monday so everyone can start their Thanksgiving break right after school on Tuesday. Here is the agenda for our Staff Meeting on Monday:
  • Good News
  • Code of Conduct Training
  • SEL Training - Todd Rich
  • Good of the Order

Staff Absences: If you have a sudden absence (wake up sick, family emergency, etc.) that is not scheduled please make sure you text Mr. Elkins & Ms. Owens. We work together on all our absences so letting us both know at the same time will really help us be able to help you. Thank you!

Judy Hardin: Please join me in welcoming Judy Hardin to our staff. Ms. Hardin will serve as one of our Extended Learning tutors and will work alongside Elaine Christopher. Ms. Hardin will replace Lori Olive, who decided to head back into retirement :)

Staff Winter Social (from SCC): Our Holiday Social will be held this year at Austin's on Friday, December 8th at 6:30. In order to save funds for the end of year celebration, SCC is not covering the cost of this meal, we are simply organizing.  Everyone will order off the full menu and will be responsible for their own meal and drinks. Please fill out the google form if you are planning on attending by Friday, December 1st, as head count is due to restaurant that evening. Spouses/significant others are welcome.
Address:  914 Mall Loop Rd, High Point, NC 27262

New Substitute: Nathalie Decker is a new substitute and she is on our preferred list. Here is her contact information.
