Hey Panda Family,
Happy Mother's Day to all! Each day you take on the motherly role of nurturing, teaching, disciplining, and guiding our children. We celebrate you today and we thank you for the loving relationships you have with your students 💚 Thank you for all you do!
Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:
iReady Reading Growth: With only a handful of students left that need to finish the iReady Reading diagnostic, we are so pumped to announce our growth - 142% Reading growth as a school! You and your students are absolutely amazing! We are so proud and I am so happy for how prepared our students are to be more successful readers. You are giving them a skill that they will use forever!
iReady Math Diagnostic: All K-5 students will take the iReady Math Diagnostic this week. Like we discussed in PLTs, please make sure you are a cheerleader for your students and they are ready to do their best! Don't burn them out with extra practice, but instead get them in a good frame of mind to excel!
iReady & Mclass Scores: You are allowed to share all iReady and Mclass results with your student's parents after their child has completed the assessment.
Mclass Invalidations: If you need to report an Mclass testing invalidation, please send it to Leslie and me. In the email, state what happened and who the student was. We have to send all invalidations to district office for review. Thank you!
PLTs: We will have PLTs this week. We will be completing your EOG test training.
EOG Test Training: All staff members will be trained as test administrators and proctors this week. K-5 teachers will be trained during PLT's. All other staff members should find a time to attend PLTs or the alternate sessions. The other sessions will be at 2:20 and 3:30 on Tuesday, May 10. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Gardner.
Substitutes & Emergency Sub Plans: We are at the time of the year when it is very difficult to find subs at a moments notice. We will continue to do our best to help you find coverage when an emergency arises, but please know there is currently limited substitute availability. On that note, it is imperative that each teacher has at least one day of emergency sub plans at the ready at all times. If you don't have emergency sub plans prepared, please work to get plans together just in case you have to be out. Thank you!

Morning Announcements: Ms. Ceglowski will email out the morning announcement links for this week.
Shoutout: From Ms. True (and everybody for that matter!) - Several teachers have shared with me their results on iReady and how well their kids are doing.
I would like to remind the teachers that in addition to all their hard work this year, 327 students have been affected by Covid resulting in 1860 days of absences from classroom learning so far this school year.
I am amazed every day by each of you. I'm SO proud!

End-of-Year PDP/Summative Conferences (Certified Staff): Beginning this week you will be able to sign up for a day/time to meet so we can review your end-of-year PDP as well as your summative evaluation. You should have your PDP completed and all artifacts uploaded before the meeting. The sign-up sheet will be outside Mr. Elkins' and Ms. Gardner's door. Please sign up with the admin that observes you. (Side note: We understand that some of you still have observations that need to be complete, we are just getting these meetings scheduled. Also, Ms. Gardner would like to have her meetings complete by May 13 so they don't interfere with EOG testing.)
LETRS/Mental Health Trainings Coverage: In an effort to help provide certified staff with some extra time to complete the required district/state trainings we are going to offer Ms. Lloyd's assistance again for the spring semester. All certified teachers that have to complete LETRS/Mental Health Trainings may sign up for one 1/2 day on Ms. Lloyd's schedule to work on their coursework. This is how it will work:
- Pull up Ms. Lloyd's schedule here - Ms. Lloyd's Schedule
- Pick one 1/2 day that is available between now and the end of school
- Write your name and Trainings in the box - i.e. "Cox Trainings"
- Ms. Lloyd will cover your class for the 1/2 day that you sign up
- On your day, you will stay on campus and find a quiet space to work on your coursework
- Teacher workroom, Teacher lounge, etc.
- If a Covid/Emergency Sub situation occurs and Ms. Lloyd must cancel, you will be able to pick another date and time
- This is optional, and is not required
