Spring Break! Yay! I hope everyone has a wonderful and well deserved spring break. If you are traveling please be safe and if you are staying home please enjoy the extra quiet time. Y'all have done an amazing job during the first three quarters! Let's finish strong when we return! 💪

Report Cards 3rd Quarter: 3rd Quarter Report Cards will be due to Ms. True by the end of the day on Monday, March 17. They will go home on Friday, March 21.

iReady: The week of March 17-21 will be the last full week to practice iReady Math lessons before the EOY diagnostic!

Career Fair: Our school Career Fair will be on March 21 in the gym. Here is the schedule - Career Fair Schedule

NC Check-In (from Ms. Lloyd): We are doing our last Check In for Reading for 3rd, 4^th and 5^th grade on Tuesday, March 18^th (the Tuesday after we get back from Spring Break). Here is the Schedule: 3/18/25 - Check In C Reading - 3rd, 4th, 5th

Things to Note:

Testing Central in the Media Center
4th Grade will start after their specials at 9:30
Vaden will test on Wednesday, 3/19 instead of Tuesday 3/18
These are the ones who are helping with testing: Guffey, Pereda, Lawson, K. Edwards, Flynn, Seely, Bowman, Idol, Russell and Gardner.

Panorama Student Survey (3rd - 5th grade teachers only): Please get all opt-out forms to Ceglowski as soon as they arrive. The survey will be completed class by class during Media Specials the week we return from break. Any messages sent from parents who want to opt-out, please forward to Ceglowski ASAP. Thanks!

Wee Care Cereal Drive (from Ms. Ceglowski): Starting Monday, March 17 we will be collecting cereal boxes for Crisis Control. Once again, we have the Golden Spoon Cereal Necklace for the leading teacher to wear on the Friday of each week of the campaign. Please wear this with pride to lunch and throughout the hallway when you win! This year is going to be a little different to increase accuracy and participation. There will be some designated 5^th graders in the lobby with a table and the donation boxes behind them. They will credit each box received with the student's homeroom teacher. Please send students with their boxes to the lobby in the morning to turn them in.

This will be documented and displayed on the screens throughout the building. Hopefully, this will encourage increased donations!

Good Citizens (from Ms. Ceglowski): If your Good Citizen didn't get to the Media Center on Thursday morning for any reason, please take his or her picture and send it to Mrs. Lloyd. Also, please go into the vault and take one coin for your January Good Citizen and one coin for your February Good Citizen. I will not be placing them in your box taped to the green paper. The coins were starting to get sticky, and it took a lot of time to do. Thanks!

Staff Laptop Deployment: Our school deployment date is: 03/28/2025

All staff that are currently assigned a laptop will receive a new laptop. This includes all full time classified and certified staff and long term subs. Daily subs, custodial staff, and any part time staff (such as tutors and community coaches) do not receive a laptop.

Our official Staff Laptop Announcement was sent out last December to all staff. This announcement contains important information regarding the preparation and expectations for deployment day.

Along with devices, Technology will provide staff to support the deployment at your school. Click on the template link to see what time frame you will pick up your laptop on March 28: School Schedule Template

Shoutouts 🎉: From Ms. Ashburn - I am so appreciative of the help and support from my first grade team while I was out sick. They are all amazing and I couldn't do it without them!

From Mr. Collins - Shoutout to Ms. Kirk for her fantastic impromptu loving on the kindergarten students and keeping them calm with a read aloud during the tornado warning. I was so impressed!
