New Updates
Building Open This Weekend: The building will be open this weekend if you want to work in your classroom. This is voluntary. The alarm will not be on so everyone can access their room. There will be no air conditioning.

Open House: All staff will work on Monday, August 11. You may flex your hours this day since we will be staying late for Open House. All staff should work their full eight hours, but you are free to break up these hours however best fits your schedule. If you are a Classified Staff member please make sure to fob in and out each time you leave if you are breaking up your hours. Open House is from 4:00 - 6:30.
Say Something Reporting: Here is a link to the Say Something Reporting page. The Say Something Anonymous Reporting System is a platform and safe space for students and concerned adults to provide information about individuals threatening or displaying at-risk behaviors for potential violence or self-harm. First Day of School Arrival: We are requiring all parents to sign in on the first day of school before they walk their child to class. The only adjustment I am going to make for the first day is we are going to allow all students to report straight to their class beginning at 7:45. This will allow us to get parents in and out quicker on this first day. Bus riders will also report straight to class on the first day only. On the second day of school (August 14), parents and students will have to wait until the 8:05 bell. On the second day we will also station all car riders and bus riders in the gym until the 8:05 bell. In short, the second day will operate as normal.
First Days of School: Make sure to spend the first few days next week building relationships, setting the foundation for your classroom community, practicing expectations and procedures, and setting the tone for a wonderful year. Definitely get into your instruction next week, but make sure you lay the classroom culture foundation first! Morning Duty: We will need all hands on deck for morning arrival the first week. Please make sure you are at your duty on time.
Announcements: Announcements will be over the intercom during the first week and a half of school. We hope to have video announcements ready beginning August 25.
Specials: Specials will operate as normal day one.
Attendance: All homeroom teachers will take attendance in Infinite Campus and on your paper copy the first 10 days of school. Ms. True will come by and collect your paper copy each day. After the tenth day of school the paper copy will go away.
Transportation: Please see the important transportation reminders below.

- grades K-1 - teacher assistants will help their grade levels reach out to parents/families of students who do not know how they are getting home on the first day of school.
- grades 2-5 - a support staff member will come to your grade level the first day to make sure we know how all students are going home.
- 2nd & 3rd - Barnes
- 4th & 5th - Guffey
- Have a list ready of those students you do not know their transportation arrangements so calls can be made
