Hey Panda Family,
Jose Day: This Friday will be Mr. Jose day! We want to make sure we show Jose how much we appreciate him and everything he has done for our school over the last five years. We encourage your class to do something nice for Mr. Jose as we celebrate him on his last day with us.
David Collins: Please join me in welcoming back Mr. David Collins! Mr. Collins was an EC Instructional Assistant with us previously, and he will be coming back to PGE in the same role. His first day will be Monday, February 7!
iReady Putt-Putt Qualifiers: Students who met 50% or more of their Annual Typical Growth in both iReady Reading and Math will qualify for the putt-putt reward field trip. As we prepare for this field trip we need to know specific numbers. Please help us by filling out this Google form to let us know who qualified from your class: Putt-Putt Qualifiers
iReady MOY School Growth: We are so proud of our school family and all the hard work you have invested into our students through the first half of the year. Overall, as a school we have already met 96% of our growth goal in Reading and 69% of our growth goal in Math. This is amazing and a true testament to your instruction and commitment to having students work on iReady lessons each week. Consistency and hard work pays off!
Math Fact Fluency: This week we will kick off our Math Fact Fluency leveled quizzes. We will be passing out your charms that the students will earn when they pass each level. We will discuss more in PLTs this week and make sure that everyone is prepared.
Panorama Survey: Teachers, please send out the following link to your families asking them to complete the family Panorama survey for our school - https://surveys.panoramaed.com/winstonsalem/family2022/surveys. Also, thank you to the staff members who have already completed their Panorama survey. If you haven't done so, please complete it this week (you received your survey link in an email). It only took me 5-10 minutes to complete. Thank you!
School Counseling Week: This upcoming week is National School Counseling Week. Please take time to show an act of thankfulness to Ms. Ceglowski! She is a rockstar and we are so blessed to have a school counselor who is so dedicated, compassionate, and skilled. Thank you, Ms. Ceglowski, for all you do each and every day! It does not go unnoticed 😊
ACCESS Testing (ESL students): Monday's schedule (2/7) is below. The rest of the week's schedule will be emailed later.

- Blackline Masters (binder) is in Jayne's office
- Shout out to Mrs. Tall for putting this together

Shoutout: From Ms. True - Please put in a special thank you to the troops that have rallied to help during my absence. Lots of folks have reached out and I have reached out to ask for assistance completing several things this week. Not one person hesitated to agree to help in any way they could. Thank you so much!

Items from Previous Weeks
Valentines in the classroom: Students may exchange valentines cards and treats with their classmates this year. Please just remind parents of any allergies in your class and that all items must be store bought.
Mid-Year Parent Conferences: Just like we have done in year's past, we would like all PreK - 5th grade teachers to complete Mid-Year Parent conferences with all of your families. The primary focus of this conference should be to review MOY results, discuss behavior concerns/successes, and to set a positive tone with each family for the remainder of the school year (make sure to always start each conference with something positive and end with something positive). These conferences should be brief and most will last 10-15 minutes. You may schedule them in-person, over the phone, or through Zoom (your choice). Please have these conferences completed no later than Friday, February 25. When you have completed all of your Mid-Year conferences please complete this Google form to let us know - Mid-Year Parent Conferences Completed. Thanks!
Mid-Year PDP Conferences: The sign-up for Mid-Year PDP meetings is hanging up outside mine and Leslie's office. Please sign up with me if I do your evaluations & please sign up with Leslie if she does yours. Conferences must be completed before 2/18/2022. Make sure your Mid-Year PDP is updated before we meet. This includes your progress to date on your goals, as well as any artifacts that you want to upload that show evidence towards completion.
