Week of 6/6 - 6/10

Hey Panda Family,

We made it!!! Words can't express how proud we are of everyone 😊 Enjoy your summer break and don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all. Here is the final Weekly Wrap of the year!

Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:

Ms. Murray Update: Doris called last week to let us know that they are now home again after a 10 day visit to the hospital that included two different stays in ICU. John was sent home on oxygen. They went in due to his very low blood pressure and difficulty breathing. Please keep Doris and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue on this journey.

Ms. Lesley Guffey: Please join me in welcoming Ms. Lesley Guffey as our AIG Catalyst! Ms. Guffey has worked as an AIG and Regular Education Math teacher at Southeast Middle School for the last 14 years. Her upper grades experience will be very beneficial in stretching the minds of our most gifted learners as we develop their critical thinking skills. If you would like to send her a welcome email her email address is: laguffey@wsfcs.k12.nc.us

LETRS Training Tomorrow: You may complete your LETRS training from home if you so choose. The building will be open all week for you to access your classroom if needed.

LETRS (June 14 or June 15): If your all-day LETRS training is on June 14 or June 15, I am giving you permission to take the day off on June 13. Please complete a White Sheet indicating that you will be out on June 13 but plan to work on June 14 or 15 to complete LETRS. I ask that you please don't promote this with your friends at other schools - I am making this executive decision for our school based on what I believe is fair. Thanks!

Archive Class Dojo: Please make sure to archive your class in Dojo. Here are the instructions.

  1. Click the cog in the top right corner of the class icon.
  2. Click on "finish class."
  3. Keep it on "archive" class and click "done" (with the exception of fifth grade which can "graduate" class).

Key Turn-In: A new item on the EOY Staff Checklist is the Key Return for this year. District wants us to do a full inventory of all our keys over the summer. Ashley will be working on this. Please make sure you turn in all your keys to her before you leave for the summer. When we are done with the inventory check we will let you know so you can come pick up your keys if you so choose :)
