New Updates
SCC End of Year Celebration: We will be having our Staff End of Year Celebration/Dinner on Monday, June 5th at 6:00pm. The event will be held at Gypsy Road Brewing Company. Prissy Polly’s BBQ will be catering the event.
The cost of the meal including tax and gratitude comes to $15.00 per person. We are asking that members of SCC pay $5.00 to cover their cost. If you have not joined SCC the cost is the full $15. Spouses/Significant others are welcome. Their cost will be $15.00.
Please give your SCC Rep. or Ms. Mabe your money by Friday, May 19th. Please complete the form if you are planning to attend by Friday, May 19th, as head count is due to restaurant that evening.

Cookies & Pizza: We have a couple more treats for you to wrap up Teacher Appreciation next week! On Monday our amazing cafeteria staff will be baking fresh cookies for the staff and they will be in the workroom. On Tuesday, our amazing business partner, Bill's Pizza, will be providing pizza and salad for the staff - it will be set up in the cafeteria. We hope you enjoy!
EOY MTSS Updates (from Ms. Balint): Please see the EOY MTSS updates below from MTSS.
- make sure all progress monitoring points have been updated in ECATS (make sure to click "save scores")
- please compile a blue folder (if you need a blue folder- please let me know) for each student with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 plan (create a document in ECATS, include progress monitoring sheet, intervention sheets, end point of the intervention)
- K-3 teachers- please print off the Core Plan for any students that were red and yellow in mClass. You will need to create a blue folder for those students and then place the folder in the cum along with progress monitoring relating to goal

Jamie Sult: The district's contract with our nurse extenders ends on May 17. This will be Ms. Jamie Sult's last day with us. Please make sure to stop by the office and let her know how much we have appreciated her assistance and medical support this school year! Thank You, Jamie!

- We have made the decision to cancel Anything but a Backpack Day on June 2 due to the Science EOG and Read to Achieve testing that day.
- Our last event for the year will be the Paw Store on June 5 and 6. Please check the schedule to find your time.
PTA Receipts due by May 5th (today): If you have any of your PTA money that you need to be reimbursed for the receipts need to be turned in to the PTA box by Friday, May 5th. Greensboro Science Center: On May 6, 2023, teachers are invited to enjoy free admission to the Greensboro Science Center (GSC). Teachers, administrators and district staff members who work for any public, private or homeschool for grades pre-K through college can sign in at the GSC's welcome desk and show their teacher ID along with a photo ID to redeem free general admission for the day.
Teachers will also receive a 30% discount in the TriceraShop gift shop, 10% off at the MeerKat Cafe and a chance to win an Aquarium Adventure for four. In addition, participating teachers' guests will receive a discounted admission rate of $16.50 plus tax, per person.

PDP/Summative Conferences: Please sign up with Elkins or Gardner depending on who your main observer has been this school year. Remember, your PDP and all artifacts need to be marked COMPLETED and Uploaded at least the day before we meet. This gives us time to review. Reach out if you have any questions.
K-2 Math Summative Assessments: Window is May 26 to June 9
- Gardner will give out materials when they arrive
- Administer this the same way as we did for MOY (No high stakes testing)
- Students' individual score sheets should be filed in the math folder in the cumulative folder
K-2 Chromebooks (from district): For the 2023-2024 school year, students in grades Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd will not carry Chromebooks home. Chromebooks will be available in each K-2 classroom for use during instruction. To structure this for our schools, collection of Chromebooks for these grade levels will occur at the end of this school year. Our district 1:1 take-home device program will continue for grades 3-12.
Inchy Book Vending Machine: All staff have the opportunity to pass out a Vending Machine coin to a student that is going above and beyond. When you have passed out your coin, please record it on this spreadsheet. Please make sure you record the student's name under their homeroom teacher. Thanks! - Book Token Staff Spreadsheet
Blocked Days: May 30 - June 9 will be blocked days due to EOG testing. I will not be able to approve any Personal Days during this time. We will need all hands on deck. If you have already reached out to me about needing time off during these weeks due to specific obligations, then you are good. If an emergency occurs, please just come talk with me and we will try and work something out.
Pam Mason - LETRS: Teachers who are required to complete LETRS may sign up with Pam Mason for an additional half-day to work on their coursework. Please review the days that are available and get with Ms. Mason to schedule it. We hope this helps give you some extra time to complete this professional development.
