Welcome Back! I am so excited to see you next week 😊 I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer and is ready for a great 2026-2027 school year! I look forward to working alongside you this school year as we learn and grow as a school family 🐼

New Updates
Meeting on Monday: I would like to briefly meet with all Certified Staff on Monday, August 3 @ 2:00 in the Media Center to go over a few items before Open House. This meeting will not last more than 15-20 minutes. Classified Staff is welcome to attend if you are in the building, but it is not required for Classified Staff.
Important Dates: Please mark your calendar with these important dates:
- August 3 - Certified Staff Returns (Teachers will work in their classrooms)
- August 3 - Kindergarten Playdate from 9:00-11:00
- August 3 - Brief Staff Meeting @ 2:00 (Certified)
- August 4 - Classified Staff Returns
- August 4 - Elementary District PD Sessions (both Classified and Certified)
- August 5 - Open House from 4:00-6:00
- August 6 - Opening Staff Meeting from 7:30-12:00
- August 7 - Teacher Workday
- August 10 - First Day of School
Elementary Professional Development (August 4): On Tuesday, August 4, all elementary staff will have district professional development. Please register for sessions here.
Open House: Open House will be on Wednesday, August 5 from 4:00-6:00. It will be floating. Please make sure you have a handout with important information (your contact information, how to sign up on Dojo, important dates, etc.) that every family leaves with and can keep at home. I also suggest having a slideshow running on your Promethean board with important information.
Opening Staff Meeting: This year we will have our Opening Staff Meeting on Thursday, August 6 from 7:30-12:00. With Open House and the district PD day being earlier this year, we wanted to give you plenty of time to make sure your room was ready for Open House.
Setting Up Your Classroom: Please make sure you don't drag furniture across the floor when setting up your classroom. If you need help moving something please ask a friend or reach out to me. I will be happy to help! If you have furniture that needs to go to storage please place it outside your classroom and label it "Storage".

PGE Staff Information: Please complete this form so we have the most up-to-date information for you: PGE Staff Information Form
Volunteer Information: Beginning this year, all volunteer information has to remain confidential. Sharon will no longer be able to print a master grade level list with all volunteers' status. If you need to know who is a cleared volunteer for your class, she will be able to provide you with that information.
Throughout the year, please email her the names of your volunteers and she will let you know if they are approved.
Infinite Campus Access (from district): Teachers should have full Infinite Campus access by Monday. If they have issues logging into ED CLOUD on Monday because they can't remember their password, they can reset it themselves using the password reset and answer the questions they initially set up. If that doesn't work, they will need to call the help desk.
Thoughts & Prayers: Please keep Lauren Timmons, our EC Facilitator, in your thoughts and prayers. Over the summer she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she is currently undergoing treatments. We love you, Lauren! 💚

PTA Business Partner Survey: Our PTA Board is working to contact local businesses in our community for sponsorships. If you know of any local businesses that are owned or operated by some of our Piney Grove parents please fill out this form. Our PTA is going to contact them to see if they would be interested in donating money to our school in return for a school sponsorship. Here is a link to the form: PTA School Sponsorship
