Hey Panda Family,

Happy Halloween! 🎃 Here are some school Halloween jokes to give you a good laugh on this holiday! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Why did the mummy skip recess? He was too wrapped up in his homework!

What do you call a pumpkin who plays sports? A gourd athlete!

What kind of music do mummies like best? Wrap music!

Why was the ghost always picked first in gym class? Because he had spirit!

What do ghosts eat for lunch at school? Boo-ritos!

Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:

New Updates

Daylight Savings Time Ends: Daylight saving time ends for the year on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 a.m. local time. Fall back!

SEL Lessons: Please make sure you are incorporating SEL lessons into your weekly plans. I don't care if you use Second Step, Flocabulary, or other resources for your lessons, but please make sure this is a consistent part of your Morning Meetings each week. Thank you!

Day of the Dead Altar (from Ms. Pereda): It's that time of year again. The Day of the Dead altar is in the Media Center. Please feel welcome to add a picture of a loved one that has passed to join my groups in our celebration. The altar will stay on display throughout next week as well since Day of the Dead occurs on the weekend this year. My groups are working on a special addition this year that will hopefully be ready on Monday; be on the lookout!

Boddle: Check out Boddle Learning! This is a free interactive resource that has games and lessons for K-5. It is also supported by Clever so it is super simple for your students to log in! Here is the link: https://www.boddlelearning.com/. Thanks for sharing, Ms. Ashburn!

Good Citizens (from Ms. Ceglowski): Please add your October Good Citizen exemplifying Kindness by Wednesday, November 5th.  We will call them to the Media Center Thursday, November 6th.  It really helps me to have the names in early, so I have the certificates ready for the pictures in the morning. MTAC and Ms. Epperley are making a plan to make this process as painless as possible. I just wanted to make you aware that this was coming. If you are interested, here is the information principals received - House Bill 805

Week of 10/20 - 10/24

Hey Panda Family,

If you didn't know Mr. Rick well, he was an amazing man. He had over 40 years of custodial/floor experience, was a caretaker for many in his family, and he would always tell me, "Mr. Elkins, I will make sure we have the cleanest building in the district" (he knew I was a little competitive even when it came to building cleanliness - Lol). Mr. Rick was quiet and gentle, but deep down he would work so hard and do anything to make sure our floors and the building was properly cared for. I don't fake my words, I really do love each one of y'all - so losing Mr. Rick has been difficult. Not because of the work that will no longer take place, but because we lost an amazing man with a kind smile and a bigger heart for others. Love you, Mr. Rick.

Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend.
