Hey Panda Family,
Over the next ten weeks I am going to do something a little different and we will have a mini-series in the opening of the Weekly Wrap. The title of this mini-series is "Talentless". As some of our students prepare to show off their talents in our Variety Show, it got me thinking about all the important character traits that require zero talent. Each week I will focus on one of these traits. This mini-series isn't because we are lacking in these areas, but more to emphasize the importance behind each of these traits. I hope we can all, myself included, gain something from this mini-series 😊
This week our trait that requires no talent is Being Prepared. "Only you can give yourself the time and space to be as ready as you can be. Make it a habit, and you will make the most of your talent." (Molly Fletcher, University of Virginia). By being prepared it removes anxiety and allows us to stay more composed if things go awry. In our world we have to prepare for so many different variables: we get sick and have to leave unexpectedly, there is a true emergency (fire, tornado, etc.), we get a new student that wants to start the next day. These are just a few examples. Can we possibly prepare for everything? No. But what we can prepare for, let's do so to the best of our ability. "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity".
Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:
