Week of 4/22 - 4/26

Hey Panda Family,

Today is part ten, and the last, of our mini-series, "Talentless". This week our trait that requires no talent is Love. When visitors walk in our building and spend any time walking the halls they regularly tell me that it "feels different here". In my opinion, the primary reason for this is the love that resonates through the relationships we have with our students, parents, and each other. We can show love to one another through kindness, forgiveness, putting others first, and simple acts of grace. Love is also accountability, wanting & expecting the best for each other, and dedication. Love is a powerful word - use it & show it. Thank you all for the love you show each and everyday. It is the number one factor for the success we have and what makes Piney Grove such a special place to work. Love y'all :)

Traits that Require No Talent
Week 1 - Being Prepared
Week 2 - Body Language
Week 3 - Positive Energy
Week 4 - Honesty
Week 5 - Being Coachable
Week 6 - Doing Extra
Week 7 - Smiling
Week 8 - Having a Strong Work Ethic
Week 9 - Grit
Week 10 - Love

Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:

May Drill: We only have the fire drill in May.  It will be held sometime in the first 3 days of May (before testing begins).

The cost of the meal is covered for SCC members.  If you would like to bring your spouse/significant other the cost is $22.00.  This includes your meal, tax, and the tip.  All beverages other than water will need to be purchased separately.  We will have a set menu of about 10 different entrees which you can select from, including pasta, salad, shrimp, or chicken.  Each staff member will indicate their meal choice ahead of time to expedite the process in the kitchen.  This will be done later in May.  For now, we need a headcount by Wednesday, May 1.
