Hey Panda Family,
"Making one person smile can change the world. Maybe not the whole world, but their world."
The love you show for each other, the love you show for your students and families, the hard work (and extra hours) you put in each week, how dedicated and invested you are in your craft, and the pride you have for our school - these things make me smile 😊 I am so proud of each of you and I can't thank you enough for a wonderful first nine weeks of school! Keep up the great work! 💚

Open Enrollment in the State Health Plan will be conducted September 30th through October 25th.
The State Health Plan is transitioning from Blue Cross NC to Aetna beginning January 1, 2025.
During Open Enrollment, all active State Health Plan members will automatically be enrolled in the Base PPO Plan (70/30) unless they take action to enroll into the Enhanced PPO Plan (80/20). Members will need to complete the tobacco attestation online during Open Enrollment to reduce premiums . With the transition to Aetna, members will need to select a new Primary Care Provider (PCP) during Open Enrollment.

Updates from Last Week
Committee Minutes (from SIT): Please review the updated committee minutes.
Lunch Schedule: We need your help! Please note that you should be lined up by the end of your scheduled lunch time, not beginning to clean up at that time. For example, if your lunch time is 12:30-1:00, you should start cleaning up at 12:55 so the next class can sit down at 1:00.
Morning Mile Interest Form: The Wellness Committee is trying to bring back morning mile! Please complete the form with your availability to supervise/support morning mile. If you are not interested or are unable to help, you do not need to complete this form. We are currently working on a schedule, but this will be based on staff/volunteer availability. Thank you! Student Pictures: Thank you to those homeroom teachers who have already turned in their student pictures to me. We have started hanging them up in our PLT Conference room 😊 As a reminder, we would like all homeroom teachers to take individual photos of your students and make two sets of copies. You will keep one set and decorate your door, hang their photos above their bookbag hook, etc. You will turn in the other set to me for the PLT Conference room. Photos of our students throughout the building make it feel more like home and a welcoming environment. We will reimburse you for your photos. Please just turn in the receipt to Mrs. Owens. Thanks so much for your help with this!
IEP Minutes Document: Teachers will continue to take minutes during IEP meetings.
- Please delete verbs and suggested phrases from the document at the end of the meeting.
