Hey Panda Family,
5 days to go! All great athletic champions finish out every game strong and play to the final second. I am proud of each of you and your championship approach as we finish our year strong. You are true CHAMPIONS! Thank you for a wonderful week that provided our upper grades students with an ideal testing environment & fun awards days for our younger students! Enjoy the last week with your students and make lasting memories 💚🐼 We love you!
Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:
New Updates
Report Cards Date Change: The district sent us a notice yesterday that they are having to change the date of when report cards are due. Report cards are now due to Ms. True by the end of the day on May 21. This is a district due date. I know this is before school is even done for the year, but with the change over from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus they had to adjust the date. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Active Supervision: Next week will be a very busy week as we close out the year. Students also tend to get very excited and that can show through impulsive behaviors. Let's all work together to help each other out next week to have active supervision at all times to make sure our students finish the year strong making good choices!
WS/FCS Facility Close-out Checklist: The district is requiring a close-out sheet for each classroom before you leave for the summer. A hard copy was placed in your box. Here are some additional details:
- Elkins or Gardner must sign off on this before you leave for the summer
- Tape this checklist beside your door once completed and signed off on by an administrator
- Remember, this is an ideal time to purge any materials you do not need.
- The less items in the classroom and the better materials are packed and stowed, the more success your custodial teams can have in moving the furniture out to complete floor care.
Lunch Schedule for Last 5 Days: Please read carefully and take note of when to eat in the cafeteria or in the classroom.
May 19 - Normal - eat in cafeteria
May 20 - eat outside or in classroom
May 21 - eat outside or in classroom
May 22 - Normal - eat in cafeteria

Lunch Treat (from 5th grade): Every year you support our 5th graders trip to Williamsburg by buying things we sell, sponsoring students, working the PAWS store or watching the kids that stay back. As a thank you, 5th grade would like to treat you to lunch next Wednesday, May 21. Mr. Puckett will be here cooking up fresh chicken tenders, white fish, hushpuppies and French fries. Please cover for each other, come on out to the black top and grab a plateful! He will begin cooking at 11:00. 5th grade loves and appreciates all of you so much!!
EOY Incentive Putt Putt: Here is the schedule for the Putt Putt Incentive - Putt Putt Schedule

End-of-Year Medications (from Nurse Pearman): With the end of the school year quickly approaching I wanted to go over some medication housekeeping. Medications are to be picked up preferably before/on the last day of school but can also be picked up within 2 weeks after. Please bring any medications that have not been picked up/sent home to the office before you leave for summer break. If medications are not picked up within this 2-week period, they will be disposed of.
If the student is a car rider the medication CAN be sent home with them on their last day. Medication CANNOT be sent home on the bus. Please send a dojo message to the parents of students who have medication here at school letting them know if you will be sending it home with them on the last day or if they need to come pick up their child's medication.
Please turn in ANY and ALL of your paperwork - (Medication form, med log, etc.) to the box/basket I will put in the main office before you leave on summer break!
PGE End-of-Year Checklist: Your end-of-year checklist is linked here - PGE End-of-Year Checklist. We will also put a hard copy in your box. You do not need to turn this in before you leave for summer, but please make sure everything is completed.
