Week of 11/3 - 11/7

Hey Panda Family,

For any of us to be at our best you have to have "gas in the tank". What refills your tank? Family time, a certain hobby, or simply a day with limited responsibilities? To be the best for your students you have to make sure you are taking care of yourself. You have to have a balance. On that note, please don't hesitate to take some mental health days throughout the year. I actually encourage it. You can use sick leave on these days to reenergize and recoup so you are at your best. If your job requires a sub, just line that up ahead of time so everything is covered. Taking time for yourself is important. Find a good balance for you so you can be at your best all year round. Thanks for all you do! 😊

Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:

New Updates

Veteran's Day: There is no school on Tuesday, November 11 in honor of Veteran's Day. Enjoy your day off. Thank you to all our service men and women and their sacrifice to protect our freedoms!

PBIS Updates: Please see the updates below from PBIS.
  • Our next PBIS event will be on Tuesday, November 25. (The date was changed due to the PTA fundraiser on 11/24.) Students will watch a holiday movie and have popcorn. They may bring their water and a blanket to lay on. The cost is 75 Paw Bucks. Please enter the number of students attending on the spreadsheet by 11/13.

      • 3-5: 10:15-11:00

First Grade Spirtwear Sale: First grade teachers are conducting a spirtwear sale for their grade level. If you are interested in purchasing a hoodie or t-shirt check out the order form here - 1st Grade Spiritwear. Just print the order form and give your completed order form and money to any 1st grade teacher.

Counseling Updates (from Ms. Ceglowski): Thank you all so much for wearing orange on the 22nd and focusing on Kindness with your students in October!  We are deep into 2nd quarter already even though the weather has just started to turn. Behaviors start to get "real" at this point. Please don't hesitate to reach out for help. Please use this link if you would like for me to meet with one of your students. Please use the following link to book classroom guidance for 2nd quarter.

Dojo Attendance Notes: Please remember to send Ms. True copies of your dojo messages received from parents with excuses for student absences. You can screenshot and text her or email her photos. Hopefully, this will save on some of the attendance letters that students are getting.

Grades in Infinite Campus: Please make sure you are updating grades in Infinite Campus at least every two weeks. I am pushing all parents to get signed up on the Infinite Campus portal so they can track their child's progress.

Events Calendar: There have been new events added to our school-wide calendar.  Check it out - PGE Event Calendar 2025-2026

Mclass Progress Monitoring: Please make sure you are progress monitoring your students in Mclass. Here is the link to the progress monitoring calendar: Mclass Progress Monitoring Schedule. Next week is a Red week.

Teacher Appreciation Lunch (from PTA): See the flyer below from the PTA Teacher Appreciation Committee. They will be serving lunch and covering your lunch duty next Friday, November 14.

HB 805: A new state law has been passed that now requires us to catalog our classroom libraries and provide these lists to parents if they ask. There is nothing you need to do at this moment. MTAC and Ms. Epperley are making a plan to make this process as painless as possible. I just wanted to make you aware that this was coming. If you are interested, here is the information principals received - House Bill 805
