Week of 3/23 - 3/27

Hey Panda Family,

I love what I am seeing as I pop in and out of classrooms since we have returned from spring break! I emphasized in the last staff meeting making the students work super hard this quarter as we maximize the limited amount of time we have left for this school year. Y'all make me so proud each day and I am looking forward to a fun week ahead that will conclude with our Boosterthon Fun Run! Have a wonderful weekend! 🐼

Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:

4th Quarter Guidance (from Ms. Ceglowski): I'd love to come to see your class one last time!  Please book using the link and then shoot me an email to let me know if you have topic you would like me to address instead of my planned lesson. I plan to focus on test taking preparation and test anxiety with 3-5. The focus for k-2 will be coping skills (to get us to the finish line!) You can absolutely sign up for more than one lesson for your class if you wish.

March Good Citizens (from Ms. Ceglowski): Please get a coin from the vault for your February Good Citizen if you haven't already.  The machine has just been refilled.🙂 We will call March Good Citizens to the Media Center on Thursday, April 9.  That is the week we are back from Easter.  The Trait for March is Prepared Panda.  Please have your GC name for March in by April 8 at the latest.  Here is the link: Good Citizen Spreadsheet

Previous Updates

Absences: As always, we need all hands on deck for EOG testing at the end of the year. Because of this I will not be approving any absences from May 11 - May 26. If you are sick during these dates we will certainly work together to find you a sub, but this is for planned absences. If you have any questions or concerns please come see Mr. Elkins. Thanks!

Interpreter Presentation: Here is a copy of the Interpreter Presentation from this past week's staff meeting: Interpreter Presentation

PBIS Sports Day: Sports Day is on Friday, April 17. The cost is 150 Paw Bucks. During Sports Day students from East Forsyth HS come play with our kiddos in a variety of sports stations and one drama station🙂(cheer/dance, flag football, relay races, softball/baseball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and theatre/drama). Each child will participate in two stations. K-1 stations will be from 12:00-12:45 and 2-5 stations will be from 1:15-2:20. (We will send out a modified lunch schedule later on.)

Instead of entering the number of students participating in Sports Day, you'll need to complete this Google Form (https://forms.gle/ft8Xj9m3H6mkLqdw6) for each child participating. They will choose three stations they're interested in so we can hopefully place them in two stations they want to participate in. (Please explain this to your students so they're not disappointed by not doing all three.)

We need all student info submitted through the Google Form by the afternoon April 2.

Ms. Gardner's Schedule: Here is Ms. Gardner's schedule for the month of March - Ms. Gardner's Schedule

Paw Form Consequences: Here is the list of acceptable and unacceptable classroom consequences if a student gets a Paw Form. We will continue to add to this list, and I will be communicating these changes to parents soon. Here is the list: Paw Form Consequences

Here are the links to submit your receipts for reimbursement. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Owens and she can help you. Here are the links:
