Hey Panda Family,
I have one simple quote for you this week:
Your job is not to change the world, your job is to change somebody's world.
Thank you for the impact you make each week in your students' lives. Don't overwhelm yourself trying to fix all the world's problems, but focus your efforts on making impactful moments each and every day with your students. Your love, dedication, and efforts do not go unnoticed. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Here are the Weekly Wrap updates for this week:
New Updates
Book Fair (from Ms. Jones): Book Fair is next week! Your class will shop during their media special. Please make sure parents have the link to load money for their child to shop in advance: bit.ly/bookfairPGE If there are financial hardships keeping any of your students from shopping, please let Mrs. Jones or Mrs. Epperley know. If you can do so before your shopping day (even if it is the morning of), they will make sure that child receives a slip to shop just like the other kids whose parents used the link. Thanks for all your help in making our book fair a big success!
Hello Week (from Mrs. Ceglowski): Start With Hello Week is next week, September 21-25. This year, we will be distributing Gold Hearts from Whip Pediatric Cancer Center for students to decorate. This will be easy, I promise!
- Take the hearts that I will put in your mailbox back to class
- Have students decorate the hearts with messages of encouragement to kids receiving cancer treatment on Monday, September 21.
- Give the decorated hearts to Mrs. Ceglowski.
I'll be sharing information about the program on Class DOJO and parents will have the option to make a donation if they wish. That donation goes straight to the organization. We do not collect any money. I have attached a suggested lesson plan that you can use if you wish. Here it is - Heart of Gold Lesson. It's a very simple message that you are never too young to help make a difference. The hearts are decorated with messages of encouragement to children fighting cancer. Make sure they say "Hello" and put their name on their heart! Thanks!!!
* Hudson Edwards is in Kindergarten this year at PGE with Mrs. Panico and Mrs. Seely. The Edwards family has brought this program to us. They wish to thank the Whip Pediatric Cancer Center for all they did for Hudson while he battled cancer. Thank you for helping them return the love!
